Easy Valentine’ s Day Ideas

Love is in the air, figuratively and literally, at my house this week. With so many Valentine’s Day ideas being promoted I’ve been anxious to create a special something for my honey. So I did.

Start your Valentine's Day gift idea with a plain balloon then write something special on it.

I love projects with song lyrics incorporate into them so I decided to do something along those lines. I racked my brain to think of something original. Finally, the lyrics “Baby, hold on to me” popped into my mind. Anyone out there remember Eddie Money?? Well, I know the old hubby will.

Here's a simple way to create something special for your Valentine.

Then, while shopping at the Dollar Tree this weekend I spotted a plain, red, heart shaped helium balloon and thought “ah, perfect!” Later at home, I pulled out my gold paint pen and started work on the balloon.

Balloons are always a hit at Valentines especially when you decorate it yourself.

I contemplated adding “Hold on to me. Seriously. I’m filled with helium.” on the other side. But then decided I should save sarcasm for a more appropriate occasion…like his birthday.

Easy and inexpensive idea for Valentine's gift.

I bought him some chocolates in a baseball shaped box, too. He likes baseball. I’ll buy him a new sweater, too. I sure hope the balloon holds it’s helium for the next three weeks! We may have to celebrate early.

Have you been working on any Valentine’s Day projects? Share your thoughts! I love your company!
